Join in our famous Sunday sessions
Affectionately known as a Zoli session, this is the Fairfield Canoe Clubs
formal weekly training session, held each Sunday from 10am to 12noon.
Club members gather at the FCC club rooms at 10am and paddle upstream on the Yarra
to Zolis strait (the straight section of the Yarra running parallel to the Eastern
Freeway).
These sessions concentrate on improving paddling technique through various exercises,
working on race starts and turning, distance paddling and giving all levels of paddlers
the opportunity to paddle with lots of other boats, deal with waves and learn to and improve
washriding abilities.
After a hard session, everyone paddles back to the club for a hot shower, cup of tea/coffee and
a friendly chat with other club members.
So come along and join in with a Sunday session between 10am and 12noon every Sunday - rain, hail and especially shine.
