Report on Awards and End of Year celebrations

The Club awards and end of year celebration was held on Sunday 27th November. We changed the celebration time to 5pm and were rewarded by a magnficent evening by a very swollen river. Many members and their families attended and enjoyed catching up with paddling colleagues and a few members from bygone years. Going by the queue lining up for seconds the spit roast meal was enjoyed by all. The children who attended were surprised to have a visit from a jolly red gentleman - who did his best not to scare too many of them. Of course the highlight of the night was the 2011 awards - Chris Runting our FCC director and chair of the Technical Committee acted as MC with a few guest presenters.
