New rack tagging system
After the recent renewal period a new rack tagging system has been installed. The old system was difficult to see each tag, particularly for the very high racks. So instead of each rack having its own tag the new system includes a grouped listing for each bay of racks. You will find a list of rack allocations attached to the front column of each bay at about eye height. These lists are two sided to include both sides of each bay. Check it out next time you are at the club and make sure your boat is in its correct rack space.
Note the rack numbers are just the same as before - starting with 1 for the bottom rack in the bays closest to the river and going up to a maximum of 10. The middle bay starts at 11 on the bottom rack and the bays closest to the street start at 21 on the bottom rack. Each row of racks has a letter, with A being the row where the club beginners boats are and K being the row where the intermediate fleet is stored.
Green is the current colour for private boat racking this year with Fairfield boats having bright blue tags.
