Club history
Fairfield Canoe Club was established in 1919 on the banks of the Yarra River, downstream from the present clubhouse. FCC is one of the oldest canoe clubs in Australia and has a rich and varied history. Tom Ohman and Zoli Szigeti are both life members of the club.

The Communications Commitee is undertaking a history project. The club history project consists of three parts.
- Archive photographs and documents
- Oral history component
- Publication of a history of the club - based on the oral history and also on existing written histories.
